West Africa’s brightest minds in cybersecurity are invited to compete in the ECOWAS Cybersecurity Hackathon! This Capture the Flag (CTF) competition is your chance to showcase your skills, network with fellow cyber defenders, and help secure the future of West Africa’s digital space.

The event is being organised by ECOWAS and hosted by Nigeria in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, and the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

    Why Participate?

    • Teamwork makes the dream work: Form a team of 3-4 with at least one female member (ages 17-35) and collaborate to tackle the challenges.
    • Be a part of the solution: The global cybersecurity workforce needs millions more professionals. This hackathon is your chance to contribute to a more secure future.
    • Network with the best: Connect with fellow cybersecurity enthusiasts from across West Africa and build lasting relationships.

Meanwhile, a statement released by Mrs. Hadiza Umar, Director of Corporate Affairs and External Relations at NITDA indicates that those eligible to apply are:

    • Citizens of ECOWAS member countries (travel provided within the region)
    • Teams of 3-4 members (at least one female member)
