The Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS) has opened its new office space, a significant step that strengthens the group’s mission to drive technology and innovation across Anambra State.

The office was unveiled by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, who described the new space as a dynamic platform that will showcase the energy of young professionals and tech enthusiasts in the state. Prof. Chukwulobelu commended the GEFAS team for their efforts, noting that uniting diverse sectors under a common goal to support Anambra’s digital transformation is a valuable endeavor.

“We assure you that the government will collaborate with and complement GEFAS to ensure its vision is further integrated into governance for greater impact,” he said.

Ms. Odili Jombo, a coordinator with GEFAS, shared some of the alliance’s impressive results. She revealed that the GEFAS Call Centre, with its team of 21 agents, has already reached over 20,000 residents of Anambra, informing them of government activities. She also announced that GEFAS will soon unveil a mobile WiFi bus, among other initiatives designed to position Anambra as a leading tech hub.

Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CFA, the Convener of GEFAS and MD/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, explained the passion behind the alliance. He described GEFAS as a force for continuity, working to align with the state’s vision of transforming Anambra into a prime destination for technology and innovation.

“We believe that together, leveraging technology, we can drive the real change Anambra truly deserves,” he stated.
