Interswitch eClat, a leading health-tech company within the Interswitch Group, solidified its dedication to providing Nigerians with high-quality healthcare through cutting-edge technological solutions.

Dr. Babajide Oyeduntan, Vice President of Business Development and Sales at Interswitch eClat, announced this commitment during the recent Lagos Health Summit 5.0 held at the MUSON Center. This annual conference gathers healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry experts to address the latest trends and advancements in healthcare.

Themed “The Future of Wellness: Fostering Collaboration for a Healthier Population,” the summit provided a platform for in-depth discussions and collaborations to leverage health-tech solutions to improve public health outcomes.

Interswitch eClat sponsored the Lagos Health Summit, which featured a diverse range of panel sessions and presentations designed to inspire participants and equip them with the tools and knowledge necessary to drive change within the healthcare sector.

In his keynote address, Dr. Oyeduntan emphasized the numerous advantages of telemedicine, including improved operational efficiency, digitized patient records, and the establishment of a centralized database for secure storage of medical history, treatments, and test results. He highlighted how these advancements allow patients to consult with healthcare professionals remotely, ensuring continuous and accessible care.

“The cornerstone of future wellness lies in our ability to utilize technology to achieve better health outcomes,” Dr. Oyeduntan remarked. “Integrating technology into the healthcare system will boost efficiency by streamlining operations, enhancing patient record management, and enabling remote consultations. Telemedicine plays a vital role by offering operational efficiency and seamless payment solutions. Interswitch eClat is at the forefront of this transformation, working to elevate the quality of healthcare services across Nigeria and beyond. We are enthusiastic about driving these innovations and improving healthcare delivery for all.”

Dr. Oyeduntan further announced the recent launch of a Smart Health Information Platform (SHIP) in collaboration with the Lagos State Government. This platform will revolutionize healthcare delivery by offering a unified system for accurate and up-to-date patient information accessible across various facilities, fostering improved coordination and efficiency.

The digitization of health records and administrative processes is expected to streamline operations, reduce paperwork, and minimize bureaucratic delays, allowing healthcare workers to dedicate more time to patient care. Additionally, SHIP will promote lower healthcare costs and ensure financial transparency through its integrated payment system, mitigating the risks of fraud and corruption within the healthcare system.

Dr. Oyeduntan also underscored the nationwide reach of the Interswitch eClat platform, which is currently utilized across federal and state healthcare centers and private hospitals throughout Nigeria.

Interswitch eClat remains steadfast in its commitment to transforming healthcare delivery in Nigeria and beyond. By harnessing the power of innovative health-tech solutions, the company aspires to create a more efficient, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare ecosystem.
