The Internet eXchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) has sealed a partnership deal with Medallion Datacenters to host a 2-day peering workshop, which offers a unique and enriching experience, designed to delve into the fascinating world of peering and interconnectivity in Abuja on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st.

Disclosing this in a statement, IXPN said the 2-day workshop is part of its effort to reinforce its commitment to the growth of the Internet ecosystem in Nigeria.

According to the statement, the opening 1st Session of DAY 1 (20th Sept.) offers high-level discussions among Top Level Executives (ISP, Industry leaders, Regulators, and Stakeholders) on the Impact of IXPN & Medallion Datacenters on the ICT industry, while the 2nd Session of DAY 1, and all through DAY 2 would focus on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) Training for Network Engineers/Administrators as well as Peering Benefits to prospective organizations.

“We are truly excited to have you join us and look forward to an engaging 2-day peering workshop,” the statement announced.

It added that the workshop is being organized as part of IXPN’s drive to grow the capacity of its members, enhance Value-Added Services and provide commitment towards improving the internet ecosystem in Nigeria, explaining further that it intends to replicate recently organized events such as the LAGOS PEERING WORKSHOP 2023 through a robust partnership/ collaboration with Medallion Datacenters in Abuja.

The Forum features highly interactive and practical lab sessions with the IXPN technical team and will provide participants with valuable insights and create a platform for meaningful discussions, sharing industry experiences, highlighting the latest technology trends, and facilitating the exchange of innovative ideas.
