At the esteemed 13th Edition of the International Girls in ICT Day Celebration, organized by eBusiness Life Communication Limited, Mrs. Funmilola Victoria Omojola was honored with the ICT Girls Torch Holder Award, a recognition of her exceptional contributions to empowering girls and young women in the digital space.

The award ceremony, held on May 15, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together dignitaries from the government, corporate leaders in ICT, educators, and students. Themed “Girls in ICT: Bridging ALL Divides for an Inclusive Digital Transformation,” the event emphasized the critical importance of inclusive participation in the digital economy.

Mrs. Omojola’s recognition celebrates her transformative journey as the Head of IT Grace Schools, Gbagada, to becoming a visionary leader in Nigeria’s ICT sector. She currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Lagos Chapter, Vice President of the Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), and is the Founder/CEO of Rise Up and Sparkle Initiative, Fungolden Innovative Services, and Fungolden Delight Foods. She was recently conferred as a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS), a mark of professional excellence and service.

In her remarks, Mrs. Omojola expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I am deeply humbled and sincerely grateful for this recognition. It reaffirms my commitment to ensuring that no girl is left behind in our digital future. Together, we rise—and we light the path for others.”

She also extended special appreciation to eBusiness Life Communication Limited for their consistent efforts in driving digital inclusion and creating platforms that inspire and spotlight changemakers across generations.

Joining a distinguished group of past honorees including Juliet Ehimuan (former Country Director, Google Nigeria), and Funke Opeke (CEO, MainOne), Mrs. Omojola’s inclusion marks a continued legacy of excellence and dedication to bridging the digital gender divide.
