    PlentyWaka wins 2020 Most Promising Tech Startup award

    Nigeria’s bus-hailing platform, PlentyWaka has won the award for “The Most Promising Tech Startup of the year” at the Nigeria Technology Awards 2020 (NiTA).

    The award happens to be the first award being won by the company since it started the journey a year ago with a vision to ease the hassles of daily commute in Nigeria, where  it has been able to complete over 240,000 rides, launch in 3 major cities, leading to over 50,000 amazing wakarians on its platform.

    The award was received on behalf of the team by our Co-founders: Johnny Enagwolor and John Atumeyi Shaibu.

    “Special thanks to Nigeria Technology Awards for the recognition. We are sincerely grateful to our loyal riders and partners for believing in our vision. Cheers to growth and innovation,” said Johnny Enagwolor at the award ceremony in Lagos.
