Treepz, a leading corporate mobility startup revolutionizing transportation in Sub-Saharan Africa, has been selected to participate in the 2024 World Trade Center Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) in Toronto, Canada. This prestigious programme aligns with Treepz’s ambitious goal of expanding its innovative mobility solutions to international markets.

The TAP programme, a collaboration with the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance, is designed to empower high-potential SMEs by providing tailored mentorship, workshops, and access to a global network of experts. Through this three-month programme, Treepz aims to refine its international expansion strategy and scale its operations.

Since its inception in 2019, Treepz has rapidly grown, serving over 5 million customers across Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, and Kenya. The startup offers a range of tech-enabled vehicle rental solutions, including guest transportation, school bus shuttling, and airport transfers, operating in 16 cities.

Onyeka Akumah, Founder & CEO of Treepz, expressed his enthusiasm for the TAP programme, stating, “This opportunity is a testament to our team’s dedication to providing innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers. We’re excited to showcase our African-grown solutions on a global stage and further solidify our position as a world-class mobility company.”

Akumah added, “We’re grateful to the World Trade Center Toronto for recognizing our potential. This programme will be instrumental in transforming our startup and propelling us towards new heights.”

Earlier this year, Treepz achieved significant milestones, including winning the Best Startup Pitch in Africa at the 2024 African Union Conference and successfully completing the first international cross-border rental trip for a corporate mobility startup in Africa. The company has also forged strategic partnerships with major corporations, providing daily transportation services to thousands of employees.

By leveraging its strong foundation and innovative approach, Treepz is poised to become a global leader in the mobility industry, driving sustainable and efficient transportation solutions for people worldwide.
